Security at Moorfield Nanotechnology
Every Moorfield deposition, etch and annealing system is run by controller firmware, operated through a touchscreen control panel (HMI) or front-panel controls. MiniLab systems can also be run from a Windows PC with our IntelliDep control software, and several benchtop systems connect to a PC for data logging and offline recipe editing. This section explains how to report a security problem in any of them, how we tell you about fixes, how long each product receives security updates, and where we stand on the EU Cyber Resilience Act.

EU Cyber Resilience Act
What the CRA means for our systems
The Cyber Resilience Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/2847) sets security requirements for products with digital elements sold in the EU. It applies in two phases.
- From 11 September 2026: manufacturers must report actively exploited vulnerabilities and severe security incidents to the EU authorities.
- From 11 December 2027: the full requirements apply, including secure design, vulnerability handling, free security updates for a stated support period, a software bill of materials and CE marking.
