Due to growth and planned expansion into new territories and technologies, we are now looking to add talent to our existing team. As part of this, we have vacancies for a Systems Fitter. This role will involve construction and test of PVD, CVD and etch systems and components, from the ground up. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of materials and mechanical design and assembly methods, and would, ideally, have experience within the scientific systems sector (but not essential).
Key parts of the role will include:
Candidates should have engineering qualifications and/or expertise relevant to the construction of state-of-the-art research systems, should be excellent communicators and thrive working as part of a strong team. Creativity and initiative for problem solving are essential, as is a desire to complete tasks to deadlines together with the ambition and capability to progress quickly within an SME with a unique product range. Relevant work experience and knowledge of electronics and machine programming languages (e.g., PLC) are distinct advantages.
The role may involve occasional national and international travel to customer locations.
Salary dependent on skills and experience.
